ALL EYE GLASSES REFLECT SOME LIGHT RAYS

Eyeglass lenses correct your vision by redirecting and focusing the light rays onto your retina. However, the lenses are not 100% efficient in this process. They will reflect 8% -15% of the light rays from their surface. This causes reflections and "starburst" patterns that can cause eye strain and fatigue.

Reflections from the front are unsightly.  Rear reflections cause the wearer to see duplicated or ghost images that can be very distracting and, in some situations, dangerous.

HOW AR LENS COATING CAN SOLVE THIS PROBLEM

Anti-Reflective (AR) Coating allows the lenses to pass a larger percentage (about 99%) of the available light, virtually eliminating glare from both the front and back surfaces.

WHO SHOULD GET AR LENS COATING ?

AR Coating Works Well on ALL Lenses

Lenses with dark tint produce a strong reflection off the back surfaces. For this reason, many premium non-prescription sunglasses now come with AR coatings.

We also recommend AR coating for prescription sunglasses.

Wearers of strong prescriptions can get a more natural appearance because the AR Coating makes the lenses less visible.

Night drivers will benefit by the virtual elimination of halos and starbursts.

Indoor workers will notice a great reduction in the glare caused by bright lighting conditions.
